Happy Easter!

We had a fabulous Easter weekend and it was great to spend the weekend as a family, but Ben and I both missed home and missed being with everyone. Tough! We did take lots of pics though and took many iphone videos this weekend to send to Walker's fan club!

Some Easter activities included...Arts & crafts Easter projects...

Play-doh making activities....bunnies and eggs

And then we decided to do some cooking....But, first we had to play/build with the ingredients.

Then, we were just hanging around and being silly...Remy just got shaved last week and she looks like a new puppy!

Easter morning brought even more fun with all kinds of Easter stuff...Not only did the Easter bunny come, but Grandma and Grandpa and Nan sent some goodies...So, we had lots of fun opening everything up and playing with some new toys...

Then, we had yet another Easter egg hunt in the yard and there was even a special golden egg...

We finished off our fun day by bringing Remy and Walker to this little lake/nature trail near our house...Remy had a ball and Walker loved throwing sticks/rocks into the water.

It really was a fun weekend! Unfortunately, it did not end that great. Walker caught a stomach bug and has not been himself. He missed school today. I hope he feels better tomorrow.

Hugs and love to all,

We love the weekends!!!!

Weekends are so great! We get so much done at the Norris household! Ben has been doing a ton of work outside. The back yard is starting to look like less of a jungle and more like a back yard! Go Ben! I've had the spring cleaning bug and try to clean out a room during Walker's naps. I am making some good progress with this. Other than that, we spend alot of time playing and hanging out as well as catching up on rest!

It was scary weather down here on Friday. Walker and I were supposed to go to a play date after school with all my sweet West friends and their kids, but we could not because it got bad. That was a bummer!

On Saturday, we went to an Easter egg hunt at Aldridge Gardens. Walker loved watching the little remote control boats going by on the pond.

We then went to Costco for our monthly visit and saw none other than the Easter bunny! Walker loved him and did not want to leave...

Some other exciting things going on in our household....A new sandbox!!!!!

And a sweet picture of Walker hanging with his Easter bunny....

Love you all!

March update

HI everyone,

It has been a while since my last post...Sorry about that! Things have been busy down here in Birmingham...
February brought lots of visitors...Kim and Dave came to stay with us for a few nights. We loved having them here...we went to the McWane Center and enjoyed some really nice weather. It was awesome!

Then, mom and dad came to visit us for quite a few days! It was so nice having them here. Walker got to play hookey from school several days and spent the day with grandma and grandpa. Very fun! They all came to my work one day for lunch, which I loved! We had a blast! My dad flew here from England (he was there on business) and was under the weather most of the time they were here. Sorry Dad!

Next, the playroom has been finished!!! We love this room and spend alot of our time in here...It is so nice because when it was our dining room, we barely ever spent time in it! Yeah!

I just came back from a great couple of days in Arizona...I spent my time with Danielle and Ryan and we had a blast! We went to the spa (facial + massage = heaven), went to the movies, went out to lunch/dinner (alot...yummy!), and did a little baby shopping. It was so fun to spend the time with my big sis and give her some helpful pointers with baby stuff. Yeah! Next time I see her, she will be a mommy! Yahooooo!

And one more picture....a couple Saturdays ago it rained and so....

Grandma bought this rain cute!

Hugs to all,

Birthday Weekend Fun...

We had a great weekend...
Saturday was my birthday and it was the perfect day...The only thing that would have made it better is if my whole family and Ben's was here to celebrate...
We spent the day putting together Walker's new play room. For those who have been to our house, we decided to make the dining room a play room. The last time we used the dining room was...well, I cannot even remember and so it will be much better used this way. I was in charge of ordering all the furniture and designing it all and Ben was in charge of putting all the furniture together. That is exactly what he did on Saturday. I do not want to post pictures just yet because the walls are completely bare...I have big ideas about the art work in the room, so once that is done, I will post pictures. I have to say, IT IS VERY CUTE!!!! So stay tuned for that...
Ben and I had date night. We had our wonderful babysitter come and we went out on the town...first stop was THE CLUB for was delish and then we headed to see Black Swan. That was quite the movie. The popcorn was AWESOME...Yes, I did eat a full dinner and then get a small buttered popcorn. Who goes to the movies and does not get popcorn? Not this girl!
Today Ben had to work (yuck!) so Walker and I went to Michaels and Publix. When Ben got home, we did take a really nice walk.

A couple cute pics from this past week...

Snow day... (Don't laugh followers from Boston!!)

New camera + New year = New blog for the Norris family

Welcome to our new blog!
I like this format so much more than our last blog and have decided to make the change. It just seems so much more user friendly and fun.
We had a quiet weekend in the Norris household...lots of R & R. We did some errands, ate out at a yummy Mexican restaurant, and played with bubbles outside.
Walker is doing so well. He had his 2 year appointment earlier in the week and both Ben and I got to go, which was a treat. Our little guy had two shots (ouch!) and was in the 70%-90% for both height and weight. He was talking up a storm to the doctor when he came in. Sweet boy! He is such a little gem!
